With model 1060, Dutch designer Jorre van Ast has created a solid wooden table with a graphic formal language characterised by subtle details. The graceful rectangular tabletop with rounded corners and bevelled edge rests on a frame of two V-shaped pairs of legs that are cleverly connected by a traverse. The legs and traverse are made of solid bentwood and thus refer to the company’s bentwood tradition. Its filigree appearance and the soft, organically flowing lines of the individual wooden elements give the table a lightweight and contemporary look and make it an inviting meeting place in private dining rooms and cosy conferencing environments. With table 1060, designer Jorre van Ast managed to design a modern piece of furniture that unifies the three themes living, working and Thonet heritage.
The table is available in stained or lacquered oak and ash wood. The walnut version has an oak frame lacquered in white or black. The oiled version emphasises the fine grain of the solid wood in an especially impressive way. Small inlays and knots are natural features of solid wood and characterise the surface. The possible colour deviations underline its fine appearance. The table is available in two sizes: 210 x 95 cm or 240 x 95 cm.
