C44 Table is part of HAY's 2011 relaunch of the Danish furniture classics originally made for FDB (The Danish Consumers’Co-operative Society).
Jørgen Bækmark’s table series for FDB has a multi-purpose feature, as the tabletop is reversible, with both a black and a white melamine surface. The simple construction with its stout and proud legs is honest and straightforward. What you see is what you get. Here, the designer’s proposal for three rectangular versions and a round version have been translated into a durable and functional solution in materials that go the distance in a democratic price range.
MATERIAL
Frame: Solid beech, soap teated
Tabletop: 12 mm MDF, black and white melamine, edges in soat treated beech wood. Reversible.
