Tomek Rygalik’s interest lies in the shapes and construction of objects and it is no accident that the name of the new small armchair by this young Polish designer, Tennis, symbolises and expresses the meaning of its construction process perfectly.
Just like a tennis ball, the armchair consists of two empty and curved shells that are joined at a high temperature and together form the product as a whole.
Tennis is sinuous and its overall shape is defined by curved lines.
The seat and back are a single part, both slightly concave to hold the person sitting in it comfortably.
The base and side supports make up the second half of the product and are wide and enveloping to ensure maximum comfort.
Behind the back a handy net pocket is inserted, a symbolic mental reference to the meaning of its name.
